Sara Plana is a pre-doctoral fellow at the International Security Program at the Harvard Kennedy School’s Belfer Center for Science and International Affairs and PhD candidate in Political Science at MIT. Her research examines proxy warfare, military and armed-group organizational behavior, civil-military relations, and military operations. She graduated with an A.B. in Government from Harvard University. Previously, she worked for the U.S. Department of Defense. Sara co-founded the Future Strategy Forum with Rachel Tecott in Fall 2017.
