Leah Matchett is a third year PhD student at Stanford University, where she is also a member of the first cohort of Knight-Hennessy Scholars. She received her Master’s of Philosophy in International Relations with Distinction from Oxford in 2018 after two years as a Marshall scholar. She has spent time working at the U.S. Department of State, the Department of Interior, the Harvard Belfer Center, Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, and the Center for Strategic and International Studies. Her current work focuses on congressional defense policy and the domestic politics of weapons acquisition.
